Works of Heart Virtual Award Ceremony with DCI at ORA’s 2020 Conference

Covid-19 makes life challenging, but it doesn’t stop it. The same premise applies to intellectual and developmental disabilities and those who are impacted by them. Likewise, The Oregon Resource Association (ORA) was bound and determined to host its annual conference despite the limitations the pandemic created, so it opted for a virtual approach in 2020, and Direct Care Innovations proudly sponsored the event.

Oregon Resource Association’s 2020 Northwest Conference

ORA, a professional membership association for direct care providers dedicated to serving those with disabilities, champions those with disabilities to lead full, inclusive lives through its representation, advocacy, and support of its members. Thus, DCI’s sponsorship and participation as an exhibitor at the October conference was a natural fit.

The three-day event, virtually hosted from October 27th-29th, brought together leaders, decision-makers, experts, and vendors in the industry. Industry trends, innovative products, the federal Electronic Visit Verification mandate, networking, professional development, and recognition were critical components of this year’s conference.

Works of Heart Recognition and Awards Ceremony

During the conference, ORA recognized direct caregivers for their service and contributions to the field at its Works of Heart virtual award ceremony. At DCI, we were incredibly proud to sponsor the event where every nomination was well-deserved. It was an honor to sponsor the celebration of those who dedicate their life’s work to the care, support, and advocacy for those with disabilities and their families.

Focus on Direct Care, Not Administration

When not celebrating direct care champions at award ceremonies, DCI supports and empowers caregivers in the field to provide exceptional care through seamless technology solutions that make their work easier. We aim to remove the administrative barriers and obstacles that prevent direct care organizations and professionals from focusing on the care they deliver. Every moment spent in administrative tasks, such as billing, time tracking, and all the aspects of electronic visit verification (EVV), takes away from time dedicated to providing direct care for the individuals and families served.

With EVV becoming a federal mandate in January 2021, it is even more critical to prioritize, select, and implement the right software solution. The ideal solution makes staff’s lives easier, provides interoperability with the organization’s existing health records system, the state in which they operate (if applicable), and reliably mitigates the associated compliance and regulatory risks that come along with managed healthcare. The right solution should free up organizational bandwidth and allow leadership and staff to focus on their vision and mission instead of its administration.

Meet Requirements, Make Lives Easier

The right EVV technology solution will deliver a business solutions platform that integrates multiple functions within one software solution, such as payroll, training compliance, learning management, scheduling, billing, and more. It’s not just the features of an EVV solution that are important but also its benefits. The best solution for Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance, and Managed Care Markets should offer numerous benefits. For one thing, it should generate efficiency gains for those who use it. It should also allow the business to leverage the tool to manage the organization effectively and in real-time.

If saving money, mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, and optimizing revenue through the use of an EVV business platform management solution would help your organization, contact DCI at (480) 295-3307 for a free demo.
